Animal Support

Overview

We strive to create a world where both humans and animals can live happily, continually thinking about how to achieve zero animal euthanasia and taking action to make it a reality. Amid the harsh realities of dealing with life itself, we, as university students, are always exploring what we can do within our capacity.

What we do?
  • Volunteer at animal shelters and protection organisations.

  • Share information and activity reports on social media.

  • Help animals find new homes.

  • Support rescue events and make/donate feeding bowls.

  • Planning to develop an app to connect animals with foster homes.

Our Current Situation
  • 43% of rescued animals find homes.

  • 57% are still euthanised.

  • The number has dropped from 1.2 million (1974) to 9,017 (2023) but is not yet zero.

Why It Matters?

To reduce and eventually eliminate animal euthanasia.

What you need to know ?
  • Public health centres that conduct euthanasia often have no other option.

  • The root cause lies in the circumstances that lead to abandoned or stray animals.

  • Real change requires addressing these underlying issues.
